Helping young people detox effectively

Many young people coming to David Martin Place for the detox program report multiple failed attempts to withdraw. Their attempts have failed because there is limited support out there for young people to effectively change their lives.  Either they are left to try it themselves or attend an adult facility which can feel unsafe and unsuitable.

Providing a safe space and appropriate support

Meeting a great demand in the community, the Triple Care Farm Withdrawal Program focuses on providing young people with the best opportunity to break free from the cycle of addiction in a supportive, effective environment.

How it works

This program provides:

  • Up to 28 days of residential care and treatment
  • 24/7 Medical support
  • Counselling
  • Case management
  • Family support
  • Education activities
  • Nicotine Replacement Therapy (if necessary)
  • Sport and recreation activities

Each young person (student) is offered up to six months of support in the Aftercare Program as they move back into the community. This is a critical part of the program as young people begin to implement everything they have learnt, with the support and guidance of an Aftercare Worker.

How much does it cost?

There is a $140 one-off non-refundable administration fee plus $150 per week ongoing.

For young people who are under the legal care of a government department, a different fee structure applies.

Details of these fees are available on application.

How long is the waiting list?

We cannot provide a specific answer as it is a rolling intake.

Do males and females share the living space?

Each young person has their own bedroom and bathroom. The living quarters are shared amongst males and females.
