Isabel* picked up the phone and called Sir David Martin Foundation in May.
She was struggling to find somewhere to detox (in her case she was addicted to Marijuana) and felt relieved when she found the Triple Care Farm Withdrawal Program.
The main thing that had been holding Isabel back from seeking help was because she was scared and didn’t want to “go to a place where people are much further down their addiction journey – much more serious cases…”
Sometimes detox, in a supportive, youth-specific environment, is all that a young person needs to get their life back on track.
“I just need help to detox so that I can get back to school but I can’t do it on my own and I’m scared to go anywhere else.”
Isabel stayed at the Farm for 14 days and is back at school now. An aftercare worker checks up on her regularly and will be there to support her as she continues to put into practice everything that she learnt in the program.
