In September 2020, Sir David Martin Foundation launched Youth Recovery Month. This awareness campaign was designed to start conversations in our community about the complexities of drug and alcohol addiction and recovery.
We know that prevention and getting the right help early gives young people a much better chance of recovery. However, many young people continue to fall through the cracks, leaving them highly vulnerable. Leaving judgement aside, we hope the respectful promotion of this health and social problem will inform and educate the general public about addiction and recovery. Because every young person deserves the chance to have a healthy life. A life of safety, hope and opportunity!
Youth Recovery Month is held annually in September. If you’d like to get involved in Youth Recovery Month, please contact Communications Manager Jennifer Ball at j.ball@martinfoundation.org.au
